    Talking Dilemma

I have a Winchester model 62 shooting gallery type gun. I have five grandsons who I know will not treasure it like I do. What should I do with it ?

I'll send you my address via pm.

Seriously, how old are said grandson's. I wish I could have gotten just one of my grandfather's guns, but they sold at auction and I was too young/Dad was too broke at the time. I would have wanted them because they were his, not because what they were.

This won't be a popular opinion, but: sell it for what it's worth and buy your grandsons something that they will enjoy as you have it.

Or just give them the money and let them buy hookers and blow.

Not quite the same thing, but, I had a chair, one of four in a set, that was my Mom’s. My brother, going through a divorce, sent me two more from the set to keep his ex from destroying them. My sister has the last one. I asked if she wanted them and was told no. I asked her daughter if she would like to have Grandmas chairs. They are antiques and in very good shape.
She wants them! I took them to her, 300 miles each way.
Next thing I know, they are for sale on Facebook for $20 FOR THE SET!

Do not give guns to someone that will not place value in them. Save them for the one that shows respect for the elders and their contribution to the world.

I remember the first time I shot one of those. It was at the New Mexico State Fair back around 1965. Imagine that happening today at a fair. I agree with the other posters here. Send it to me.... If there is not one who will appreciate it, liquidate it and use the funds in a way that will be appreciated and remembered.

I do remember the carny not wanting me to look closely at the sights to see how far off center they were set.

Only family I have is a niece and nephew. Neither will appreciate any firearms. My friends son (also consider him a friend) gave up his senior year summer to babysit me when I had a hip replacement. He gets the first five picks out of the safe. Family is more than blood.
