When I was researching them, every opinion I could find online was negative, with many stating that the marketing hype was pseudo science that didn't jive with any reality based understanding of fluid dynamics.

The great thing about "Shooting the Bullcare" is that- if you like your HST you can keep your HST

Same sorry, not intended on shit posting. I saw that video too and found myself wondering why he didn't compare 147 vs 147 for the winner, instead of 147 vs 124, especially when the 147 HST "beat" the 124 HST in his test.
Life has a melody. Not great, not terrible.

That is a good question. I did not see the previous 9mm tests and just assumed the 124gr standard pressure must have been the best HST performer, since he had placed it in his head to head final.

Now I'm wondering how it compared to the 124gr +p hst, which I carry.

Are you sure your not talking about that G2 RIP ammunition? I have neer seen any lame marketing attempts for the Lehigh Defense rounds and there are several major boutique manufactures that make many load offerings in it. The monolithic milled rounds are becoming ever more popular in the hunting world because of how devastatingly well they perform when hitting vitals on big game animals.

There's a gentleman over on pistol-forum who profession involves testing, and based on his extensive experience he still recommends using Federal HST rounds. There are others that he likes as well, but he has said multiple times that if you go with HSTs you won't go wrong.
