Timeshare ownership- resort has "no guns" policy
If you own a timeshare (deeded in your name) in a state where it is legal to own/ carry a gun- can the resort you own your timeshare at deny your right to carry while staying there? Basically if someone owns a deeded time share and pays property tax , does that give them property rights since they have co-ownership?

if this keeps you from buying a timeshare, think of it as a win.
I would seriously ask a lawyer....in the state in question. There is no greater sorrow than to recall in misery the time when we were happy - Dante.

I see a lot of ads for companies that will help you sell off a timeshare. I don't recall hearing anyone being happy about having a timeshare.
On the other hand, people call me when things go badly, and not so much when everything's perfect. But enough people hate their timeshares that there are companies devoted to getting them out of them.
As for the property rights, you have to look at the entire contract and deed restrictions.Attorney Phil Kline, AKA gunlawyer001@gmail.com

When in doubt, don't ask/don't tell, it works wonderfully for me.

I'd think you own the time, not the property, so the resort could restrict.

Re: Timeshare ownership- resort has "no guns" policy
I timeshare a lot (I am one of those who really likes his timeshare) and I am armed whenever I stay at one. I rarely carry when I am on the property (I have yet to figure out bathing suit carry) but conceal carry off the property. Most of the resorts I stay at have safes in the rooms, but unlike hotels most timeshares do not clean the room every day, so you should not have a problem with staff entering the room without your knowledge. All of my travels have been to states where my PA, AZ LTCF are recognized. As said above, don't ask, don't tell.

Your name is on the deed, that's YOUR property.

Timeshares have been a scam since the late 1980s and it seems that nobody has paid attention to that fact.
