I guess the 2nd Amendment isn't law. Funny, there is such a thing as constitutional law. It's all so confusing.

If the system does not find your address in the US Postal Service database, it won't process it. The reason is that we go for quality data, over quantity. The signer's address is included in the email to the lawmaker. That way, their staff can confirm that you are a constituent. An unconfirmed address goes to their trash bin.

If it returns an address, use that one in the petition. It should work then since the petition system pulls from the same database.

My street address will never show up in the USPS database because we do not get door to door mail delivery, we have to use the local PO for all our mail. However, there is no problem with UPS or FedEx deliveries and our street address is in the 911 database. That is why on my FFL I show different addresses for my premise address and mailing address.

Will it accept me if I use the street address for the PO that I use?

As long as you put in a valid street address or PO Box, you're good.
