Ltcf expired

Just realized that my ltcf expired in Feb, going tomorrow to renew, but not sure if it will be considered a renewal as it is 3 months outdated? Also in the past I got a renewal letter with an application have the sherrifs depts done away with that?

Some send reminders, some don't and you are granted a 6 month grace. Additionally, there is no procedural difference between renewing and initially filing for it so no harm done.

Grace period would put you into August. Its 6 months. Make sure your contact information is correct and that the date is entered with a "/" and not a "-", example 5/7/2019 not 5-7-2019. Apparently the simple difference in the way the date was entered in their computer system could cause a glitch where renewal notices weren't being sent out but supposedly they are fixed now.
