Default Re: Ruger Super GP100 in .357 Magnum

Finally got a chance to handle one of the Super GP100's in .357 at the Outdoor Show. Happy to see Ruger there; wasn't happy with the gun. It is very barrel heavy, could stand to be a 4" barrel instead of 5.5". The grip that comes with it is too smooth and doesn't allow for a secure hold. A rubber grip like the Hogue grip on the .44 spl GP100 would feel better. I still hate the cuts in the barrel shroud. And then there's the trigger. For a gun that's marketed as a competition model, it sure didn't show in the trigger. It way too heavy. They had the Match Champion, the Super GP100, and the Redhawk all side by side and the Super easily had the heaviest trigger of the bunch. Unacceptable for a revolver at that price and sold as a gun for gaming.

Ruger really missed the mark on this one.

I hope you took the time and made the effort to that to Ruger!
