Waterproof Striker
Please excuse my rookie question, but if I have a diamondwood striker with a waterproof tip (which seems to not be a wood), do I still sand that striker tip as necessary with like 220grit or just let it be?

Re: Waterproof Striker
Nope not wrong at all as I rough up the pot as well. I just was taught that every once in a while a little 220grit on the striker will rough it up a little and keep it running fine.

Re: Waterproof Striker
I clean off the striker every once in a while with a green scouring pad.

Re: Waterproof Striker
Everyone must be using their strikers and not maintaining them lately, that's what I should be doing ha ha! Just don;'t want to mess up my striker but want to maintain it correctly.
