Ended up not going back Sunday. I'm hoping that the vendors had a better day than Saturday, we do want things to keep going. For me it was just too much trip for too little value for the return. I'm hoping that the August 3-4 show is better, maybe gluten-free free?

It was a very rough weekend for most of the vendors from my interactions. Some vendors by Sunday at 2-3 still didnt have a single sale that day. It wasn't nearly as crowded sunday, if you could even call Saturday much of a crowd.

Hell I thought someone from here would have seen my post and went and bought up all the 9mm and 223 the one guy had. Managed to meet up with him around 330 and grab 250 rounds if 223 and another 250 or so of wolf 9mm. Kicking myself in the ass for not buying more but I wanted to make sure I didnt short myself for today.

Met ScotsGuards at the show on Saturday. Bought a nice Tokarev pistol with holster and bore brush from him.

It was a very rough weekend for most of the vendors from my interactions. Some vendors by Sunday at 2-3 still didnt have a single sale that day. It wasn't nearly as crowded sunday, if you could even call Saturday much of a crowd.

Hey man, it was nice meeting you and shooting the shit for a bit. I feel like we saw more foot traffic overall Sunday than Saturday, but it was definitely a browsing crowd and not a buying crowd. Overall the worst show I've ever had at an Oaks Gun Show, finished up doing roughly half of what I did at the same one last year. A lot of vendors we spoke with got beat pretty bad this weekend, and i feel bad for the ones that travel for it, being local was the only thing preventing this from being a terrible loss.

As for the gluten expo, they at least managed to get a crowd for their event. Not that the blame really falls on anyone in regards to crowd, it was the first weekend with good weather in awhile and I'm sure most people were taking advantage of that.

It's a shame, but I think gun shows are losing a lot to online retailers. If I can buy guns and ammo cheaper, with free delivery and no tax, I am always gonna take that as my first option.

I was there Sunday looking to purchase 3 handguns if I found them. The first was a HK tactical 9 mm. Found one used and abused for $959. I can get it on line for around $750 in good conditions. Next was an M17 and they went from $649 to an astonishing $750. Finally I was looking for a Sig P229 Legion but there were none. I saw others that prices were way overpriced. I also notice the they are now using Spikes lowers but the using cheap parts to finish the gun. I guess they think that using Spikes makes the rest of the gun a better seller. I think this was the worst show I ever been at. I don’t think I will go to another one anytime soon. Much better with local shops.

This is the second show in a row I did not attend. I go for the ammo cans, but am well stocked up for now. All of the handguns you mention can be found on GB at great prices. Just need to be patient.

Check GB...it has served me well over the last couple of years.
