Gun shows were very popular during the 8 years when O’Barry was president... he actually ‘sold’ more firearms and ammo than he realized. Oaks was the last show that I attended back then. Recall that I waited in a long line to even get in. Then I muscled shoulder to shoulder with individuals smelling of BO to get a glimpse of the dealer tables. Can’t say that I miss it.

I scored a 1000 rnd case of 9mm tula for $100!
Not great ammo but a decent price for plinking stuff!

Been there done that and now I need to hit the bank. Vendors are crying the blues and there might be some good deals had on Sunday

Definitely was a rough show for us and a lot other vendors we talked to. Crowd was really light and the people that were there were looking more than shopping. Can't say I'm surprised with it being the first nice weekend we've had a in a bit. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

I've seen better ones at Oaks. I was there, got my summer sausage at Holzingers, and looked around. It was weird that they had a Native American Crafts show in Hall A (my wife suddenly wants to come if I go back tomorrow), and the gun show in Hall B/C, but a split with there being a Gluten-Free food show all the way on the right when you enter from Hall B. I did get a couple of other things, and there's a shotgun I want another look at if it's still there tomorrow. But I have seen better 2-hall shows as well as 3-halls that were infinitely better.

It was limited supply, he had the 1 case of tula and 1 case of wolf for the same price I think. I'm going back this morning to buy a half case of the wolf probably. Just a random vendor with old crap in hall B.

It is interesting to see the inventory rotate at this show. I should have gotten another .50 cal can but they're $7 now so I kept looking and forgot to go back before I left. I also got a box of .338 WINMAG, that stuff's rare and pricey but I have gotten some decent pricing on occasion.
