Default Farmers are in favor of Sunday Hunting

Click the link and watch the video.

Please share this link with all the farmers you know. Farmers WANT Sunday Hunting. But the PA Farm Bureau is not listening to them.

I didn't understand the video. What's the connection between Sunday hunting and farmers rights/trespass law? Those are two separate issues

SB 147 offers strengthened trespass enforcement in exchange for Sunday hunting as I understood it.

The current law PROHIBITS hunting on Sunday. Many farmers want to allow Hunting on Sunday on their own land but are prohibited by law. (Land Rights Issue) Senate Bill #147 would remove the Prohibition. If Senate Bill #147 passes, then individual landowners/Farmers would get to decide for themselves if Sunday Hunting would be allowed on THEIR land on Sunday. Freedom issue farmers rights issue.

Senate Bill #147 in addition to removing the Prohibition of Sunday Hunting, strengthens the Trespassing law, something the PA Farm Bureau asked for. All private landowners are hoping for stranger trespassing laws. Senate Bill #147 provided this.

All hunters all PA Citizens who believe in freedom and liberty should get behind Senate Bill #147. It takes power out of the hands of the PA Legislature and puts it back in the hands of landowners.

The MAJOR obstacle to Sunday Hunting is the PA Farm Bureau. They asked for stronger Trespassing laws and they got them. But the "out of touch" UPPER leadership of the PA Farm Bureau is still not happy and definitely not listening to their Farmer members. So members like Doug Lapp, the farmer in the video, are trying to inform the public that MANY MANY farmers are in favor of Sunday Hunting. He is a farmer, and a MEMBER OF THE CHESTER CO. Farm Bureau BOARD of DIRECTORS. In the video he is reaching out to ALL Farmers who support Sunday Hunting and Senate Bill #147. He is hoping to show the PA Legislature that farmers Support Senate Bill #147.

If we're playing Let's Make A Deal, then let's keep the Sunday ban in state parks. That way, the hikers will have a few days during deer season when some trails are free of hunters (there are many trails outside of state parks). Keystone Trails Association would probably sign on, and hunters would still be able to hunt on private land and SGL's on those days. That seems like a reasonable compromise to me.
