Right there is enough reason to clean house. Fresh blood needed.
I think it's more like half a century. He's been at least an executive-vice whatever since I was 15.

I'm pretty sure he's been there since the 1970's. Perhaps it might be time for a change.

If bad things happen under a CEO's watch, the CEO usually gets canned. I agree on causative change. Not change for change' sake.

Maybe there were good reasons to charter under NY law many moons ago. I think NRA needs to get out of PRNY on general principles.

The NRA was chartered in 1871 back before communism was even a word. Their home office is in Virginia which could go either way because of the size of the population of government bureaucratic workers that have moved there just outside of Washington DC. The key here is to get the finances in order and get with the program of what the NRA is intended to do, to train people in the use of firearms and protect gun rights. I think most people that own firearms are freeloaders and contribute nothing to the cause and are oblivious to political conditions and most don't vote at all.

The other problem is those that have little knowledge of political realities and live in a world where what they think is what ought to be. Political reality is money is power and the people with the most money dictate to everyone else what political reality is without regard to Constitutions and laws. If you think the NRA makes and passes laws you are one of obvious problems we have. All these groups are nothing but lobbyists and they lobby using using money and as I've already mentioned money is power. The people with the most money wins. Send your money to whoever you like it makes little or no difference because unless that money goes to a place that can use it to it's fullest extent you're throwing good money after bad.

If the NRA is having difficulties because of not having enough money or they are misusing the money that is sent to them it's time to clean house and get it fixed.

I remember when that Virginia home office opened. I and fellow NRA-member colleagues were taken by surprise.

I don't know about that; and I say that as ex-NRA. Wayne/Hammer/Cox all need to go, and the organization needs a fresh outlook on things. I no longer support them, and I know that makes many of you out there angry. I throw money behind GOA.

I hoped North had enough juice to get rid of LaPierre but the board is stacked with his minions.

I too would like to see Wayne ride off into the sunset, but I get the feeling that North was just a puppet for Ackerman McQueen.

Colion Noir as EVP and Tom Selleck as Pres would agree with me, maybe throw Kaitlin Bennett a senior position, maybe NRA ILA. lets shake it up with some new thinking. Make Ted Nugent Sgt at Arms...LOL!

I agree there's quite a bit that's ripe for change. That said, most of this can be traced back to decisions that were a result of member votes. If a majority of the membership would seat board members with a different mindset, things would change. Until then.....
