Nice OC encounter for a change

I had posted in the recent past about frequent occasions where leftists have gotten various store managers to ask me to cover my pistol. I Never had a problem in this area until very recently--I suspect OCing is now the equivalent of wearing a MAGA hat, and leftist authoritarians want to exert whatever control they can over political dissidents.

Well, today in McDonald's an old timer wearing a Navy Veteran hat walks in. He looked to be a Vietnam era vet. He asks me what I'm carrying. I say "SIG Sauer Forty-Five". His eyes widen, then he smiles and announces, "Forty-Five: You want to make sure the bastards don't get back up again". I laugh out loud and agree. He tells me he usually carries a S&W forty. I thank him for his service and we part ways.

Refreshing to see that my area isn't totally infested with leftist authoritarians.

I like when hearing good encounters like your,Our best encounter while O/Cing was at local Shoprite two Ladys approached me and wife and said We like when we see a person O/Cing and feel we are in a safe zone when near a person who is O/Cing ,I returned their pleaseant response and my wife says i dont use a belt but carry in the waist band her Taurus 38 spl ultra lite,they were impressed by her being armed and says let us know when you shop here it is doubly safe,lol.Wife comments to me later the ladys were more inquisitive of my Taurus than Your Glock 19 honey,she just had to rub it in,lol. MDT/And Wife !

i've recently started to venture into OC cause of the nicer weather coming. haven't really had anything negative nor positive happen where i am (NEPA). i would say the only "odd" behavior was in a dollar general i was in. the counter person did not say two words to me. just rung me up, i paid, said have a nice night, no response back to me. leaving a gas station, someone called me sir. maybe he was assuming i was a police officer? but other than that, there hasn't been any weird stares or anything else.

I never oc'd in public before but I did oc my belt fed M3HB in the back of my truck one day.
We were cruising home from the range and a car came flying up behind us, and all of a sudden,
it backed WAY off.... Needless to say they didn't tailgate, as we weren't doing the speed limit (slow).
