I like it esp this time of year for some reason. Bill Ricca has been getting out of the business and is normally at Bloomsburg. It may behoove a person to look over the remains of his collection and grab anything you may want or think you may want later

What's with all the pad locks?

You most certainly can post GS announcements.

The reason for the locked threads is that too many old threads were being bumped for newer show events, but the thread titles were not or could not be edited to the upcoming show dates. For example, if a popular show such as Oaks got bumped for an upcoming date, the thread might be several pages long, and the thread title mentioned an incorrect date. Then to figure things out, a member had to go through the thread, or jump to the end of the thread to see what the new activity was about, and to possibly learn the new date. It was somewhat confusing. And only mods and OPs can edit thread titles; those merely bumping a thread for an upcoming future date could not.

I used to lock the GS threads a couple years ago but got out of the habit. In an attempt to keep things a little cleaner and more understandable, I've started locking GS threads a week or two after the event. Active posters in the GS forum still have the ability to copy and paste the general information from formerly open threads, and just change the dates and admission fee accordingly, and post that copied and edited info in a new thread about a particular GS.

In closing, I wish to thank the active posters in this forum for keeping members apprised of upcoming GS events, in particular mpyingling22 and yourself, among others. Your participation and assistance makes the GS fourm useful for all, and it is much appreciated.
