Our rankings on those lists is skewed because of PA handgun transfer requirements.

In the last copy of the "Travelers Guide to the Firearm Laws of the 50 States" OH did score higher than PA in terms of gun rights although that was the 2018 version, I do not have the 2019 version so Im not sure how things have changed since then.
But WV definitely is more gun friendly than PA.

People keep posting rankings and grades from various places. In the end, the rankings are arbitrary, even if they pretend like they're not. It's up to you to decide what 2A violations are most egregious.

Do I think PA's FFL and ROS requirement sucks? Absolutely. But (looking at Berncly's summary), I also think OH's requirement to notify LEO while carrying is equally bad, and the "safe storage required" line under MGs and suppressors is weird, along with the handgun only carry stipulation.

Like I said, I hate PA's handgun transfer oddities, and some of the vehicle carry stuff, as well as the shifting political climate (that's really my biggest worry above all). But as a whole I'll take it over some states that are viewed as 2A heaven, TX being my typical example.

I don't care if someone belongs to an organization or not. But they got to get active take a fucking an hour each week and write an email or make a phone call or two. Our voices need to be heard or we are screwed.

Doesn't even take an hour a week, 20 minutes will do just fine.
Using pre-written email alert templates from the GOA makes it even easier.

Every gun owner should at the very least be a member of the NRA (https://home.nra.org/) or the GOA (https://gunowners.org).
It is inexcusable for any gun owner to refuse to pay $20 a year to protect their right to own a gun.
It is also inexcusable for any gun owner to refuse to vote for pro 2A candidates in every election every year.
