PSC’s Pistol Method (12 hours, INTERMEDIATE skill level) is a technical course of fire designed to teach and reinforce the fundamentals of practical pistol shooting.

We meet Friday evening for discussion of safety protocols and shooting theory. Instructors interact with students utilizing both pistol simulators and live guns. Baseline skill levels are quickly assessed, and any gear issues are sorted out.

Shooting skills are developed and enhanced on Saturday. Material covered includes grip, strong hand only shooting, body alignment, presentation (achieving natural index), aiming, trigger manipulation, two-handed shooting, ammunition management, target transitions, simple malfunction clearance (immediate action), and method integration.

Instructors explain and demonstrate practice techniques so that students may continue to develop with confidence.

You MUST HAVE the following to participate:

PSC’s Weapons Primer or equivalent
•eye protection
•hearing protection (electronic preferred)
•sturdy, stiff belt (min. 1.5″ width)
•Kydex® holster
•Kydex® magazine carrier
•semi-auto pistol of at least .380 caliber
•three spare magazines (min.)
•350 rounds of factory FMJ ammo (min.)
•weapon lubricant
•tourniquet (C-A-T® or SOF®TT-W)
•pen and small notepad

PSC’s Pistol Method challenges across the shooting skills spectrum – students should be of sound body and mind.
