I've never read anyone here instructing someone how to circumvent the law even though there have been some who have asked questions in a multitude of ways how to circumvent the laws

I seem to recall an incident (not sure what it was) that did so or came close and it was made clear that it is not permissible here. HKPRO has the same policy.

I think the only onus on gun forum posters is to accurately represent the law. If an 18 year old woman asked those questions here, we would answer them by stating the law. YES in Pennsylvania a non-prohibited out of state 18 year old can buy a shotgun from an FFL. We aren't doing anything but stating the law. What they do after this is off our conscience in my opinion. In fact, if someone stated the intentions to buy a gun for *insert lawful purpose* we would encourage it within the bounds of the law because we unequivocally believe in the right to keep and bear arms.

If someone blatantly threatens or says they plan to break the law, that's a different story.

I completely agree, she looks several years older than 18. Are reports saying she was 18 simply because she claimed to be 18 in posts and online profiles? Incentive to raise the age to purchase to 21 (or older)?

that article reads as a seed to enact a ban on gun forums or to enact some sort of government oversight. maybe i'm just paranoid since that is among their next targets.
controlling the flow of knowledge and prohibiting it is thought crime. she could have gotten her information from a myraid of other sources which would have resulted in the same end.
"this is how you legally buy a gun" is very different from "this is how you commit mass murder" but certain parties want to correlate the two.

Just a thought but her family expressed an alert to authorities about her behavior,and just when did these behaviors manifest themselves ? obviously in her early years growing up and never did her family get her mental health help or evaluations ? 18 years old she was very troubled to begin with.Thankfully she was the only victim and not dozens of our children ! Kudos to LEOs ,first responders and acting agencys being pro active in their response.

would it surprise anyone if they found out she was loaded up with SSRI's and had little followup care?
that's how society treats mental illness today. your physician's assistant asks if your sad, gives you paxil and sends you on your way. skip a dose or react to it and you wind up in another state, in the woods, nude, with a few extra holes.
you're then counted toward "gun violence" statistics.

It used to earn you a pretty serious infraction (perma-ban, AND threats of LE contact by the forum). These days, the posted rules are mostly a historical reference, just like pretty much all of the content outside the discussion forum.
