Pennsylvania license to carry firearms
Hey guys,
I wondered if you guys know if I can submit this application on Saturdays at the court house or if it is only Mon-Fri. I called them but they claimed it was only Mon-Fri and I talked to other people who claim they submitted there's on a Saturday.

Most Sheriff's departments only accept LTCF applications M-F. Your best bet may be to just take a vacation day or a half day or something like that. Yes it is important enough to constitute such a measure as taking off of work!!!!

That is what I was actually thinking of doing. I would have just liked to put it in today. Oh well it is what it is.

Re: Pennsylvania license to carry firearms
Call your sheriff's office and ask if you can mail it in. Some will do it all by mail. There is a guy on this forum who did that with the Fayette Co sheriff...never set foot in the office at all.
Of course if they have to take your photo there, that won't work, but some sheriffs are not set up to do that yet and the applicant supplies their own photos.

Re: Pennsylvania license to carry firearms
You cannot get a Pennsylvania license to carry firearms unless you have a similar document from your home state.
Getting a Florida or Utah non resident permit does not require residency in those states, and both of those are good in many other states, but I doubt Ill. is one of them.

Re: Pennsylvania license to carry firearms
Illinios does not allow carrying, concealed or open, as it is a no-carry state. Even if you got a non-resident license to carry firearms from another state (Utah or Florida most likely as has already been mentioned), you still would not be allowed to carry in Illinois.

The only carrying going on in Illinois is by cops, criminals, and those few that might be both.
