I would open my wallet in a second to anyone who produced a decent 10mm carbine. Maybe even a lever action.

Buy a Hi-Point. They're actually really good rifles. Ugly as sin, but they're decently accurate and reliable. Also the least expensive 10mm carbine on the market.

According to one of the Ruger reps at NRAAM the new handguard IS going to be available as an aftermarket purchase. Personally I'm going with this one: https://taccom3g.com/product/ulw-han...er-pc-carbine/

I'm using mine for Steel Challenge so shaving weight for faster transitions is preferred.

But a Hi-Point carbine will not take the Glock-20 magazines that I already have a bunch of... Bummer.

I must be excited by this news... I just broke my nearly one-year-old radio silence on this forum to post this reply. LOL

Buy a MechTech upper for your Glock 20. Problem solved.

Interesting... it is good to know that they are available, both for Glock 20 and XD(M) .40. Thanks!

But wow, the combined price for the gun and the kit totals over $1000. That is pretty steep for what essentially would be a range toy! Especially when a real carbine (i.e. an AR) can be had for under $400 nowadays.

    I might yet get a Hi-Point 10mm, LOL.

Because they got to suck the money out of our wallets year by year.

    Shouldn’t they just make them handle both like 12ga 2 3/4, 3in?

Got to love the uninformed folks at the mother ships. Or are they trying to sell as many guns as possible?
