I think so. I've heard they've picked up hundreds of thousands of new members in a short period of time.

I bought memberships for a few family members and they get no emails, no mailings, nothing. I don't mind giving them random $20 donations, but these are people who would be interested in the stuff they're sending out.

How effective can an organization be if they don't have their own shit together?

Sounds like they just don't have the proper infrastructure in place to manage itself. This could in the end be a bad thing. This could also mean a lack of accountability.

Every gun owner should join the National Rifle Association (NRA) and Gun Owners of America (GOA) to help protect our Second Amendment right to own a gun.

Like many people, I have been a member of many different 2A political action organizations for decades.
NRA has the numbers and needs our support, GOA has the political connections and know-how and needs our support.

It is true that GOA has been going through some organizational growing pains.
Regardless, in my opinion the GOA is the absolute best 2A political action organization in existence today.

GOA membership is not required to receive GOA legislative email alerts.
GOA legislative email alerts are extremely important so that you can participate in GOA 2A direct political action in a timely manner (flooding legislators with calls and emails).
If a GOA member or nonmember has never gotten any GOA legislative email alerts, then they should sign up for free GOA email alerts here (upper right corner): https://gunowners.org/join/

If a GOA member has never gotten any GOA physical mail acknowledging their membership, then they should fill out an online correction form here: http://gunowners.net/cgi-bin/ttx.cgi?cmd=newticket

People can join NRA here: https://membership.nra.org/Join/Annuals
People can join GOA here: https://gunowners.org/join/

We also need every gun owner to help protect our gun rights by voting pro gun in every election every year.
Please make sure you are registered to vote here: https://www.pavoterservices.pa.gov/P...plication.aspx
Pro gun voter guides are posted in PAFOA before every election here: http://forum.pafoa.org/forumdisplay.php?f=11
