The only issue I've had with the mim on the S&W revolvers is they seem prone to an aggressive red rust if not looked after.
Otherwise, I kind of like them. The fit and surfaces are spot on.Crusader's local #556 South Central Asia chapter

Both my 19-9 and 17-9 are full of modern MIM parts. Both are fine revolvers. Smooth tight actions. And look beautiful. Any gunsmith worth the title should be able to work on a MIM trigger group. But frankly I see no point. Both my Smiths have perfect triggers right out of the box.
Love both my modern Smiths. Especially the 19 that I can feed all the magnums I want and not worry about cracked forcing cones.AK-47s for EVERYONE!!!
