Default Electronic hearing protection with bluetooth?

I'm looking for something that is a little more than just the standard electronic earmuffs for shooting. I want them to do that, but I also would like bluetooth built in so I can listen to audiobooks at work in a noisy environment.

I've done some looking around, and I've found ones that look like they'll do the job, but the reviews are mixed. I was hoping to find someone here who has used one of these type units and can give an thumbs up or down on a particular model.

    Units like these:

    https://www.amazon.com/Lucid-Audio-A...dp/B01LZGAZ6S/

    https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-Hea...dp/B07BN32MSX/

    Thanks!

I've had the peltors for about a year now, they work great. I replaced a pair of walkers, and the batteries in my peltors last significantly longer. also the audio quality is much better.

I use them at all day shooting events, and if you're going to to be wearing them all day I'd strongly suggest upgrading the ear pieces to gel like these ones:

I would absolutely spend the money again on this setup.

Search YouTube for April Wilkerson. I know she uses Bluetooth earpro and has discussed them in the past.

Peltor sport tactical 500 hands down. I have them. Just be sure to upgrade the seals with gel ones for aviation headsets. Makes them comfortable for hours and hours of shooting

I did get the Peltor 500, and I've been using it for about a week. Very nice. Cheapie AA batteries lasted about 32-40 hours. I've got a better grade in them now, and I'll be getting some rechargeable ones to use so I'm not spending a ton on batteries.

Also ordered the gel rings that were recommended. But they haven't arrived yet.

I've had the rechargeables for a few weeks now. A set lasts about 2 shifts. The major issue is the headband leaves creases in my scalp and is painful.

This model headband cushion shows up when I search for a matching one to the 500s. Does anybody know if it is an actual fit for the headset?

Look at 3M Worktunes. I use them for mowing grass. They work great.

Your profile does not include your age. Nevertheless, when I was young we all grew up cutting grass for money all summer long with no regard for hearing protection. We’re all paying the price now.

Um...I'm not sure why you are suggesting them, given I already have the Peltor Tactical 500, which has more noise reduction and it looks like a better build quality. I don't need AM/FM. And it looks like the headband on them would hurt worse over the course of an 8 to 10 hour shift.
