Default Best way to clean out very tiny holes (threaded)?

I need to put a rail on my new Mark IV so I can then put a red dot on the rail. I'm going to use some purple loctite when I install the rail, but the factory filler screws were oiled so I need to get the threads clean before doing the install and applying the thread locker. How the heck do I clean such small holes? Cotton swabs are too big.

ETA: Found a good answer on the interwebs: pipe cleaners.

Found a video that suggested pipe cleaners. I happen to have some, so I'm going to try that. Seems like a decent way to actually get into the threads.

They also make pipe cleaners with wire bristles mixed in with the cotton if you really need to get in there.

Brakleen AND pipe cleaners should do the trick.

Greg, pipe cleaners ans acetone. The acetone will absorb the oils. It is the only think I use when degreasing something before Cerakoting it.

xringshooter has the right idea. The acetone will dissolve the oil and it evaporates very rapidly!

Just keep it in the holes and away from any finish that might be damaged.
