Not sure how it works but on the NYGF I'm a member of when you make a post in either section once it's viewed you know longer see it until it's bumped up and the process starts over unless you actually search for it.

I'll ask one of our Mods how or which system their using in order to prevent this from happening.

The answer to the issue is to contact the posters and let them know the negative effects of their gratuitous bumping.
That it's so annoying that you would not do business with them no matter how in need of sledge hammers and Olivia Newton John vhs tapes you may be.

It certainly is fixable, in a number of ways. The better question is: "WILL it be fixed?" I wouldn't hold my breath on that one.
