Re: Profiling - CC vs Open: What Difference
Unintentional printing and flashing causes unknown open carry which can be a problem if the carrier is unaware of it.
The carrier is in effect OC'ing when he thinks he is CC'ing, and this can decrease defensibility and effectiveness if postured for CC when actually OC.There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

Re: Profiling - CC vs Open: What Difference
OP don't sweat it. Even if you are BADLY printing, the vast majority will not notice, a small majority might notice and think it to be something else (medical, cell phone, etc) and a very small percent will know exactly because they CC.
As stated by many there is nothing illegal about printing

Re: Profiling - CC vs Open: What Difference
I don't agree with that.
I am talking about the obvious issues of posture, weapon vulnerability, defensive strategy, and effectiveness of threat response.
Irrespective of any statistic, the idea that an openly armed person is never attacked is overblown.
Our openly armed police have been ambushed and killed many times, this is a fact.
To say that a police officer's open carry should have prevented their ambush is silly.
To say that their ambush was not specifically tailored to attack their open carry posture is also silly.
Open carry or conceal carry as you wish.
But do so deliberately and behave accordingly to give yourself the best chance of survival.

Re: Profiling - CC vs Open: What Difference
I mostly conceal because I feel that an open carry person would be the first shot in any planned attack/mass shooting.
