Quick question. I know in years prior, short range targets were usually set up toward the left, and farther targets were set up to the right. Most people shooting pistols/carbines were on the left and most shooting rifles were on the right. I wanted to bring some steel targets again this year. Is it ok to set up steel for the pistol up closer, and also set 3/8” gong out a little farther (~50 yards) on the right side? Of course anyone is welcome to shoot some of the plates if they want. I'll be bringing steel again. In the past I've set up plates for the pistol side as well as my normal 12" plate for the rifle end.

Sounds like there's going to be a lot ptinging going on this time around. My comrade put together a swinging steel set up with about 5 plates on it of various sizes. We were about mid or farther down last year and might end up same place this year. It's his setup so I don't know what he wants to shoot it with, probably his 500.

Ha ha! Just got my approval for vacation friday night shift on the 19th! I can go!

Took him long enough. I gotta go buy a tent thing for shade. Thanks pennlineman for the shade last year, and everything else.

Will be getting the toys ready. So happy. I thought I might not have gotten the night off. Short handed at work since the layoffs.

    I prefer paper targets.
They make the same sound whether you hit the bullseye, or miss the paper entirely!

I'll just yell out, "HIT! HIT! HIT!"

Should be fine. I don't know for sure which field we'll be in yet. We'll have to wait for pahuntingfool to let us know. We always leave room for steel when we set up though.

There is no problem doing that. Just make everyone aware if there is caliber and or bullet type restrictions on your steel.

If you want to see/SHOOT something, speak up and I'll pack it. I'll have some ammo for anything I bring, but if you provide ammo, you can shoot the shit out of whatever you want.

Yeah I just looked up my cars total payload.. and its only 850lbs total lol

Alright cool. I’m also bringing a few bowling pins so anyone can shoot whatever caliber they’d like at those. And, like the last time we brought some, they must be destroyed by the end of the day. Whatever it takes, I say!
