If You Don't Get John Lott's Weekly Email Gun Summary...
It's worth signing up for. He gives out some very topical information about what's happening nationwide including things like network television working their anti-gun views into favorite shows. Here is this weeks. I recommend subscribing and supporting his organization financially. They get no funding from the industry...as it should be in order to remain impartial.
John Lott--
Possibly the most disappointing thing this past week was the Senate Judiciary Committee's hearing on Red Flag laws. All the witnesses before the committee were in favor of these types of laws. Only one witness had concerns about due process, but even that witness, David Kopel, thought that beyond that concern such laws were quite desirable. We strongly disagree. Besides our recent research on these laws, we have tried over and over again to explain how these laws create problems. These laws are reminiscent of the Tom Cruise movie, Minority Report, though the police there at least had psychics to help them predict future crimes.
We have tried to educate people about the dangers of these laws on the Glenn Beck Radio Show (national weekly audience of 10.5 million) and Coast-to-Coast AM (national weekly audience of 9 million) as well as smaller radio shows such as the Michigan Talk Network, and other radio shows from Alaska to Virginia. In the next email, I hope to have an interview that I recently just did on the Lars Larson national radio show.
This past Monday we also set up a meeting for Senate staffers to educate them on the dangers of these Red Flag laws. Fifteen people showed up, and I hope that it will allow some useful.
Over the last two weeks, we have written on everything from the push by Pennsylvania Democrats to expand the state's gun registration system to the media's attacks on Trump as somehow being responsible for the New Zealand shooter's attack on two Mosques. Somehow the news media thinks that an environmental, socialist nut who hated capitalists and thinks Donald Trump's policies are horrible was a Trump follower. The media also failed to mention that this killer made his attack to help push for more gun control in New Zealand and the United States. We have also done some radio shows on the New Zealand, Brazil, and Netherlands mass public shootings from last week.
The television show bias against guns has also shifted into high gear over the last couple of weeks. NBC, CBS, and ABC have all had some real winners when it comes to media bias. If you only watch the clip that we have put together from a show, what the one from NBC's Chicago Med. A long-running theme of the show has been that a romance between to characters has been troubled because the woman doctor has insisted that the male doctor get rid of his gun because it is so dangerous. Well, if only he had followed her advice. The doctor's gun is stolen and used in a crime where a young man is severely wounded. As always, we greatly appreciate anyone alerting us to such bias on television.

Re: If You Don't Get John Lott's Weekly Email Gun Summary...
I donate $10 a month to three or four organizations that I think do good work. They need money to do the work that I think needs doing so I chip in. If millions of people contributed to the things they believe in, the elites would be outspent and overpowered. Influence requires contact with the system and millions of people muttering in their living rooms about how things ought to be accomplishes nothing. Don't just sit there, do something even if it just one thing. Get enough grains of sand together and you have a beach.

I donate to him(crime research etc) but his, thier, battle is met with such cowardice from the libs that he has such a hard time being heard. No one wants to debate him because he cuts their statistics to shreads. God bless him for what he is trying to do.

We're probably going to have to learn the "hard way" about these foolish laws.
Due Process exists for a good reason - people take advantage of government power.
In 2015 Police took more private property than Burglars. So far I don't see any movement for reform of asset forfeiture. Perhaps this Red Flag nonsense will drive the public into appreciating why we had Due Process?
