if the case in the 9th makes it way to SCOTUS, AND it's found in the same favor as Benitez did in his opinion (aka, his language is upheld with no changes,) then NJ's bans are destroyed as well.

If the 9th affirms Benitez En Banc, SCOTUS will most likely be in favor of Benitez almost immediately since the 9th En Bank is the whole 9th circuit, where as the NJ decision was just a 3 Judge panel that never made it to the full 3rd Circuit.

If all the chips fall how, and where we want them, the moment news gets out, magazine companies will be overnight multi-millionaires. Lets just hope prices don't skyrocket. But your talking CA, HI, CO, IL, NJ, NY, MD, CT, MA, D.C, and VT. CO, VT, and, CT won't be as significant since they more recently changed their laws, but they have new gun owners who I'm sure can't wait to be free.

Nothing, yet; different court district. But if it stands at the 9th circuit, there will be a split ruling between circuits making it prime SCOTUS material

PRNJ was upheld at circuit level in Dec18, and generally died.

This was the first mag ban case that actually used the Heller test correctly, so even if the ninth overrules, there's a good chance the case will continue since it's in line with SCOTUS precedent.

iirc the 9th is the only circuit so stupidly large that an enbanc is seen by a group and not the entire panel.

I never said it *would* go to SCOTUS, just that with a circuit split it becomes the type of case that SCOTUS should address. Most stuff is let to stand until there's a split.
