Re: NYTimes. We need smaller bullets
The U.S. Army went from 7.62mm (.308 cal.) to .556mm (.223 cal.) and I'm sure the N.Y. Times had some words of wisdom on the subject.
They don't seem to realize than an M-16/M-4 variant fires a .22 cal. round. True, it travels a whole bunch faster than a .22 cal. rimfire round, but it's still, technically, a .22 cal. round.Last edited by Statkowski; April 9th, 2019 at 08:01 AM.

Re: NYTimes. We need smaller bullets
The AR-15 is now officially less deadly than a 9mm.
Any vote for a third party is a vote for a Democrat. You are the enemy.

Re: NYTimes. We need smaller bullets
NYT prolly thinks the AR-15 is 6mm larger than a 9mm. Like, isn't millimeter the huge system the Germans used in WWII?
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

We need smaller amounts of criminals, and smaller amounts of instance people. How about that NYT? Just a Democrat propaganda rag with absolutely no credibility.

Re: NYTimes. We need smaller bullets
Smaller caliber guns evolved partly in response to availability and cost of lead and partly in ability to carry more ammo. History sort of repeated in modern times when we turned from .30 caliber to .223 (5.56x45mm) and from .45ACP to 9mm but this time cost and availability barely mattered.
