I'm in for this one. It's closer than most I have been going to and I always find some nice people to talk with.

I love the two smaller shows they have in Centre Hall but these dates are on the opener of trout season here so no Spring show for me this year!

Ah yes , trout season .... I sit the 1st week out anyhow. When I used to go the 1st week .... I often thought "this must've been what the California gold rush looked like".
Bunch of hilly billy inbreeds running through the creeks , pots and pans and gear hanging all off of them , hootin and hollerin ...... fist fighting along the stream banks.
Trying to get in front of anyone and everyone for that valuable gold in the water.......... ah yes. The memories.........of course there are the memories of playing bumper boats on the lakes ......all just depends what you were looking for that day....

I have a small confession to make. I've never actually been to a gun show. GASP!!!

I'm changing that now while gun shows are still a thing. I'll be there on the 13th with the family bright and early!

I kind of gave up on opening day way back when they changed opening hour to 0800 from 0600. We used to get out early and were on our way home with our catch when the 'city slickers' as we used to call 'em started showing up. That was back when French Creek in the Sheeders area was home waters.

That was also when I took up fly fishing and was able to avoid crowds in the fly fishing only stretch of creek, at least until a pair of Canada geese set up a nest, then a short stretch was off limits for all. Mama and papa goose made sure of that!

I go out with the kiddo the weekend before. I sit out until mid week the first week usually. I have to work on Saturday morning anyways, so I'm gonna pass until I have a day off.
