What he said. Sheriffs in Erie County deliver summons, work at the court house, and serve as school resource officers. They tried to start enforcing traffic laws for awhile. but were beat down hard by State Police and Erie and Millcreek Police departments.

In Pennsylvania it may be more beneficial to sign on mayors and township supervisors as 2A friendly, given they direct the actions of municipal police. However, many municipalities use PSP, so they have little control over what they enforce.

Currently the only organization working in this space is Mayors Against Illegal Guns, a clearly anti-2A group.
