That is actually kind of tempting.

Hence this thread, yea. Its a five shot cylinder. I just wish more people had shared their experience with these guns online. I'm leaning towards the longer barrel now.

There probably aren't that many people that have them, and of the ones that do a lot of them probably haven't shot it with full power stuff.

I have a 454 Alaskan. It has some recoil, but not painful like the .480 Ruger SRH I had. That one would make my wrist hurt before the cylinder was empty. Full on 454 rounds I can shoot at least 24 before I start getting the shakes. Plus its much more carry friendly. Not pinpoint accurate but i can hit a paper plate at 50 yards. 3" at 25 yards with ammo that has 1800 ft lbs of energy.

I've been bit as well. Been looking around for a 7.5" SRH .454 for a while now.

I got the chance to fondle one today. They feel very good in the hand, very stout. Nothing about the grip seemed like it would be a problem, but I am sure they will thump you a bit. Even with the $800 price tag I may be on board.

4.6" or 6.5"? I'm leaning hard towards 6.5 now, mostly for the extra velocity.

6.5", which I what I would want as well. better balance, better ballistics, more weight to absorb recoil.

Also, the longer ejector rod is a plus.
