Default Glock Wizzards near Pittsburgh - P80 issues - Please help - Wife said I'm Dumb.

    Hey guys,

I have two P80 builds I'm working on, one a g26 and the other a g19 for my wife. Both aren't running to Perfection (TM). Is there anyone near PGH that could help me troubleshoot these two? Are shops that would work on there? I know it's a gray area legally so I didn't want to just walk in with one. I'd be happy to provide beer/ammo/cash for your time.

    G26
    - Guide rod sticks out a few millimeters
    - Brownells Slide
    - P80 SC frame
    - OEM Lower and Upper Parts
    - OEM g19 Barrel
    - Glockmeister Stainless Guide Rod and OEM weight spring

This gun functions correctly but I don't like the fitment of the guide rod. I had an oem plastic one in there that broke at around 200 rounds. I have 500 rounds on this new rod with no issues. Could it be the fact that I'm using a 19 barrel? Any other ideas what I could have done wrong. It seems the guide rod doesn't slide to the next lug on the barrel when I rack the slide like all my other glocks. If I place the GR on that lug it aligns correctly with the end of the slide.

    G19
    - P80C Frame
    - LoneWolf milled slide
    - OEM Lower and Upper parts
    - LW Barrel

When I insert a magazine, rack the slide and fire, the gun operates correctly. After pulling the trigger, it does not grab the next round nor fully eject the spent casing. trying to trouble shoot this, I put the slide on my OEM g19g4 frame and it functioned perfectly so I'm pretty sure i fvcked up something in the lower.. Any thoughts on what to look at next? OEM mags cycle fine. When it does fire and I have a magpul 19 mag in there, it drops the mag when fired.

    P80's are all Gen 3.
That's a Gen 4 recoil spring in your photo.
    The parts are not interchangeable.
Everything in a P80 must be Gen 3 compatible.

I thought they were interchangeable on the subcompacts? I can put my gen4 19 slide on the 26 with no problem.

The internal parts are not compatible.
If the Gen 4 slide only accepts a Gen 4 recoil spring then it won't work on a P80.
Don't take my word for it, go look it up.

    Curious...what's the gray area?
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

    You mean the 5th photo?
That's a shot of the lower frame looking into it from the muzzle end held upside down.

Since I’m the mfg, no other shop could kill away parts of the slide if yhat were the problem. Also a lot of place don’t want to work on homegrown stuff.

I talked to lone wolf and glockmeister. Both said the guide rod is the same in gen 3 & 4 for the 26.

    You don't understand.
The P80 is not a factory Glock.
The internals are not exactly the same to allow for home 20% finishing.
This creates an issue with the internals that are only designed for Gen 3 parts.
