My thoughts exactly. He can give you info on where he gets powder, and where the N-SSA gets theirs for skirmishes. I've seen at least one YT video with Charley in it where the were shooting a cannon, and a woman was loading shells from a BIG bag of powder in the back of an SUV.

You can use 2F or 3F, even the new fancy "clean burn" stuff thats not "black powder". Start with low charges and work up. Eventually the more you add the more you waste and blow out of the tube unburned without distance gains. Same as a bp rifle.

Get yourself a good long handle wire brush or a long wire brush with a shaft that can be installed into a cordless drill. Makes life easier for cleaning.

There are some cannon powder companies out there as well, cant find it in my bookmarks, on my phone. Guys use it to make cremora fireballs. Works just as well for a mortar of course.
