My M&P Shield has a safety. The handgun/trigger functions the same as the model with no safety.

If the no safety model were available for the same price I got it for, I'd have gone that route.
As it stands, I just don't use the thumb safety.
I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

You can always swap out the trigger and/or modify it.
But I think the trigger blade safety is a good thing to have on a gun.
I am not interested in extra moving parts that, in my opinion, serve no good purpose. I will never buy a gun with a trigger safety. I'd be ok with replacing the trigger, but if I can get a gun originally designed without- I'd rather do that and not modify it. I'm not saying my way is the right way, that's just what I've decided. I would consider a full size Glock (9mm, .45, or 10mm) but if I stick to my convictions- I stand in my own way of that purchase, and a lot of other good guns for that matter. I'd never concealed carry a double stack so that's why I'd go right for the full size, which I wouldn't carry unless I was open carrying in the woods. Anyway... my thoughts on this tooic. Thanks for the reply.

    Or get a revolver.
Haha, point taken. See my other comment ( I did recently get a revolver and I love it). Thanks.

I love my RM380. The trigger pull is really long, but it doesn't take much time to get used to it. The gun has been 100% reliable after over 500 rounds.

Also, my wife has a Ruger SP101 that is DAO. A set of Wolff springs reduced the pull to a very manageable, but safe result. Great gun, though a bit heavy.
Thanks- I'll definitely look into that. And if you read my other reply to a comment I actually am a new owner of a sp101. I'm very happy with it! The grip feels great and I don't mind the trigger pull. Thanks for the reply!

It keeps the gun from firing when the trigger is depressed - until you depress the trigger. Wait. WHAT?
    Completely agree.
