"I live in Indiana co. and own a small gun shop. I am a Federal Firearms License holder and I think I have a solution to the gun issue here in Pa. All gun transfers whether private or commercial would have to be transferred through the Pa. and federal background check system. This would create a trail of ownership. All NEW guns are transferred when purchased. Penalties for not following this system would be the same for seller and purchasers. If the gun was used in a crime then both parties would be punished the same. If a murder is committed with a gun the person committing the crime and the person who sold the gun illegally would face the same punishment. This would not stop every gun involved crime but it would make people think before selling guns to people who can't legally purchase guns. Thank you.
