Re: Fudd alert. big Bob's shooting supplies in Indiana county
One of a few replies I sent to Bob's lunacy.
Given that most guns that criminals possess are stolen (not bought from private sellers) I'm curious how you can morally sell guns. After all, you sell a gun, a miscreant breaks into a home and steals that gun, you are partly to blame for putting yet another illegal gun on the street.
It's obvious to me, in order to stop criminals from getting guns, you must stop selling them immediately and melt down your inventory. Otherwise Bob, you're just being hypocritical and chasing the extra dollars that UBC will bring your shop.
Perhaps your morals are just very flexible. Supporting UBCs to try to "save a life" but not ending your business because that would be a net negative to your income. Which do you think would be more beneficial in ending criminal use of firearms Bob? You doing UBCs or you not selling guns? If you're honest, you'd have to agree that not selling guns at all would be more likely to end your own culpability in the criminal use of firearms."A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself"

Make it so anybody can run a background check on anyone at anytime for any reason, online . No need for any info to be given if it's a gun sale or for renting a house or hiring a contractor. All they would know is who asked for the info and who the info was about.

Rules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

I might have a little respect for him if he said that all transfers should be without cost but, lacking that, I just see greed.

There's gotta be some truth to a shop owner wanting in on the missed dollars.
I haven't bought a gun at a gun shop in 20 years - and almost none of my long guns came from a shop.
Big Bob can suck a big knob.I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!
