That's only the start. The California gun law of 1968 was a direct response to the Black Panthers carrying weapons around the state capital. The Sullivan Act was about the balance between the Irish, Italian and Puerto Rican gangs. Gun control is always about oppression, never public safety. Safety is the rationalization.

Same goes for the Jews. How can you be Jewish and be against guns after the Nazis?

Easy. I once read a story about a Jewish leader in one of the ghetto's in Poland. He knew that Jews who were taken from the ghetto were sent to their death's, but always maintained that because he was a leader who worked with the Nazi's he and his family would be safe. Even when he, his wife, and their 18 year old son were on the train to an extermination camp he still held to his conviction that they would remain safe. Part of the way there some other Jews had made a hole in the floor and were going to flee, and the man refused because he said they would be safe. Finally his son could take it no more because he knew what was going to happen and he wanted to live and he then left with the other Jews. The father and his wife of course were put to death upon arrival at the camp.

So imagine the Jews living here in America, safe and sound with a police force to protect them, they could never in a million years be convinced that something sinister could at some point happen to them. Even the anti-Semitism of the Democrats is not moving them one inch in another direction. They forget to their own peril that they will come for the Jews first.
