Very nice 11-48 for home defense. My father had a 11-48 that we shot so much the frame cracked. Brought a lot of game home and broke a lot of clays with that shotgun.

    Very nice!

I bought a couple 11-48's about a decade ago because people were selling them for $120, and I wanted to dip my toe into the semi-auto shotgun pool. A lot of people didn't want them because they aren't chambered for 3" magnum shells. I used a mag extension to load nine 2-3/4" shells, and a sidesaddle. Looks a lot like yours, but I never thought of the anti-skid grips.

There is a really nice tritium front bead sight my Meprosite that is really nice to use. I also got a pic rail mount for an 1100 that would fit, but the receiver needs drilled and tapped. I just didn't see the need and it sits in my spare parts bin. Maybe someday.

Right after they came out, I wanted to get a set Magpul forearm and stock for a Remington 870, just to see if I could modify them to fit. That would be great, but the shotguns perform better then I would have hoped for, so again, I never bothered.

I enjoyed setting the friction ring for low brass, and emptying the shotgun of eight #7 shot (dove loads) fast enough before the first shell hits the ground. My brother-in-law was righteously angry at me, as his 4x8 piece of plywood he uses as a target backer, had absolutely nowhere on it that didn't have a little hole in it.
