Web Sites to jump start my education on Pistols and Rifles? Also shops in the area?
Besides here, are there any good websites to jump start my education for future purchases? Also are there gun shops that are worth a look in the Waynesboro, Chambersburg, and Greencastle area? Thank you in advance for future recommendations.

Funny, just posted in another thread, some similar info to a guy moving here from NY.
I haven't researched this stuff in years, so a lot of my links are dead. But here is some of the law stuff I posted to his question.
You indicated Franklin County, so if you want a License to Carry a Firearm (LTCF):

Check out the stickies here at the top of the forum:

A sticky about the few places you can not carry if you get your LTCF.

Re: Web Sites to jump start my education on Pistols and Rifles? Also shops in the are
Vehicles:
Openly or concealed does NOT matter to vehicles, nor does its loaded or unloaded status, only the fact that there is a "firearm"(handgun, SBS, SBR) in, on, or upon a vehicle. Any device that is used to transport people is a vehicle. Yes, that includes horses, bicycles, motorcycles, boats, trains, airplanes, cars, trucks, trolleys, etc, etc. YOU NEED A LICENSE TO TRANSPORT A HANDGUN IN, ON, OR UPON A VEHICLE UNLESS YOU ARE GOING TO/FROM ONE OF THE EXEMPTED LOCATIONS IN 18.61.6106.(B). ************* Without a license you cannot transport an unloaded "firearm" in a vehicle just for the mere practice of open carry.
This one eludes me for some reason. So to transport a "Firearm" of any kind in a vehicle I need to have another license or does the LTCF cover that?

Re: Web Sites to jump start my education on Pistols and Rifles? Also shops in the are
The LTCF cover you for transport of a Firearm, and they call a firearm basically a pistol. Someone else will clarify that. But a LTCF is easy and cheap and worth having, even if you have no intentions on carrying regularly. Otherwise if you want to take your guns for a ride, it has to be to and from a specific thing, like home and work, range, gunsmith, or FFL. Technically you should not stop at Wawa for coffee on the way:) ALL longarms need to be unloaded and ammo separate when on their way to a range. So basically unless you have a LTCF and are on a trip with only a handgun, you need to be going to and from the few exempted location with no additional stops.
Also watch your state lines, a PA LTCF doesn't work in NJ or NY for example, so since you are close to a few states, you need to be careful about their laws too. We have reciprocity with some other states, but I am unsure what we have down there.

A few more links:
Now, before you develop bad habits, would be a great time to get some solid hands on advice from someone good, so you are not trying to overcome grip and stance issues.

Honestly this site is one of the best in my opinion. I'm also a YouTube/Full30 video junkie. YouTube is going further & further left and has deleted some video and entire channels.
While YouTube still has the best platform, Full30 is trying to allow gun channels to survive without persecution.
Some favorite channels for you to look up on YouTube or Full 30 are: (Remember everything is a datapoint and you should eventually form your own conclusion)
1. Paul Harrel - can be dry, but very informative content.
2. Military Arms Channel -
3. Mr. Guns & Gear - probably a great channel for newbs(IMO).
If you want PA specific info get it here first."It seems that the Constitution is more or less guidelines than actual rules"
