I'm up to eight now and all are Frankenguns made up of various manufacturers parts - never had a problem with a single one of them.

I don't know what you're trying to build, and I think you said you already ordered another BCG, but this is the lightweight BCG I bought for my wife's lightweight build.

Closeup photos can be seen in my build thread starting here.

    So far, so good.

I wonder who makes these Brownells branded BCGs.

As far as the gunsmith comment, did you mean you wouldn't have paid to have a headspace checked? They only asked for 15 bucks for their time so I felt it was fair. And I was concerned about them mortaring my new build initially but this one isn't meant for safe duty and figured the hell with it, if it can't survive that then it can't survive being dropped either and I'd rather know now than when I'd need it I guess.

It did kind of irritate me a little though tbh haha.
Hold on now, did this "Smith" drop a no go in and let the bcg fly? You know it’s a gauge not a slug. You remove the extractor, ejector and gently push the bcg home until it stops. You paid an idiot to screw your shit up, if I am reading this correctly. Why else would it be stuck other than letting it fly? Books it’s all in books. Books on Gunsmithing are not wasted money. Now you need your extension checked out for damage.

Yeah I don't know what the dumb fuck did but I'll take it to my normal go to shop next time, lesson learned. Nothing was damaged though but I'll have my normal smith check it out next week. I know how to check headspace myself, I just don't have the gauges. I guess that's next on my list before I build the next 3 guns i have waiting.

The Toolcraft NiB BCG from Joe Bob Outfitters passed! But upon further closer inspection of everything the locking latch on the SBA3 was broken from the gunsmith slamming it down on his workbench to get the no go out the last time. No worries though, they were more than willing to replace it for me and didn't charge me anything for the headspace check either so I'm happy.

Yea, not only did he slam it down on the brace, he did it fully extended as evidenced by the chunk of aluminum gouged out of the last notch on the buffer tube as the locking latch rolled the edge over.

Like I said, they made it right in the end. Finally this headache build is complete.
