Default OC gets gun taken working on car.

Police searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect who is described as a 17-year-old black male wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and black sweat pants.

I don't oc very often because I'm paranoid about this exact thing. That being said, all the holsters I use for oc have some sort of manual retention device. It really doesn't seem like this guy could have had one based on how easy that looked.

    Say it isn't so.

Sitchy ational awareness is needed when open carrying. Being distracted while working on a vehicle isn't sitchy ational awareness.

Being an old Boy Scout, I understand and believe in "Be Prepared", but the Doer is a thug and the "victim " is a Fool.
if he's going to carry while working on the car, put it under the seat.

Open carry requires responsibility and discipline, and the "victim" here seem to possess neither.

If I'm out working on my car, I usually conceal carry, for this reason, and i keep my back to my building. Dude brought this on himself. Thanks, asshole, for justifying the anti's fears.

Careful, brother, you're getting dangerously close to victim-blaming. First and foremost, this is the fault of the thief...

    Unpossible!
Everybody knows OC is a deterrent to crime.
Just the sight of 'ol Rosco hanging out in the open causes criminals to quake in fear and move on to a softer target.

Open carry requires neither discipline or responsibility. It requires a gun. There are people that think OC in itself is irresponsible.
