    Wow, wigs and wee wee's!!!

Okay, this guy could have been walking thru the mall and the same thing could have happened.

What does this mean, holster retention.

As laws governing purchases of handguns get tighter, illegal obtaining of handguns is going to rise just like anything else. Wear something wanted by who knows who, for all the world to see, and play the odds. Brilliant concept.

Granted, it seems to be a rare occurrence, but then so is a school shooting. There is acceptable risk, and there is unavoidable risk, and there is avoidable risk.

An MS-13 will lop your head off with a machete to get that gun. Think situational awareness correctly assesses every occupant of every vehicle driving by? Fantasy.
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

Funny, antis use the same logic regarding risk when justifying why we shouldn't have any guns. You even compare it to one of their favorites, school shootings.

I think you should consider inspecting that hole before jumping in.

As you see it. But, you are from PRNY, so I will apply the required filter when reading.

I'll take your hiding behind my location as your acknowledgement of the uncomfortable similarities between your logic and that of the grabbers.

if your driveway is the size of a pickup truck, be a lot more careful. iwb's always expose when someone is hunched over and almost never have retention.
my vehicles are hundreds of feet from road access and miles away from sidewalks. you either got to drive down or try to creep through the forest and dense brush.

Never considered, or at least mentioned in this thread(?), the OC'er might have already been targeted due to his practice of OC'ing in and about his neighborhood.

Good points. And as it was just said, it seems pretty clear that this guy was targeted, as from the distance shown, the bad guy knew just what he was looking for.... not a cell phone in a belt case.
As it has been said many times, awareness is key here. Dressing around and working around one's firearm still applies.
