Or installed a ''laserlyte'' brand laser for a HI point pistol ? The directions that come with it are worse than useless. I called laserlyte help site and they told me to just pull apart the right and left side apart, the trigger guard and squeeze it back together. I pulled as hard as I dared to separate the two halves without breaking it. Has anyone else had this problem. Thanks Joe

I’m not familiar with it but I just looked it up. It seems like a few allen head screws hold the two halves together. Did you try to gently pry it on a side that will be hidden by the gun? Hopefully you got it on sale, I see it’s 60 bucks on Amazon right now.

You didn't mention loosening the screw to allow the two halves to spread a bit . . . if I have the right device and instructions, after loosening that screw you can snap it inot place by just pushing it onto the rail.

A. Loosen the clamp screw/cross bar.
B. Align clamp screw/cross bar with cross cut on rail.
C. Press the laser onto the rail.
