Just show them your drivers license, they will make a copy and they hand you the cash.

As an FFL I don't need to give you any paperwork. But I give a receipt and a copy of your dl so I log it in and have a record of who I got it from and my payout. As I've done with several people on here. Plus it good to give them something to show a legitimate sale.

Also an FFL can acquire anywhere, but can only sell at place of business or gun show.

I've never sold a handgun to a FFL "I don't think" , so I wondered about this myself.
Ask to see a copy of the FFL and drivers license to ID the dealer/buyer. The dealer is NOT obligated to give the non-licensed seller a copy of his FFL to keep for records, but should have no problem establishing ID. A receipt for the gun with the dealer's address, phone, etc. is sufficient for the seller to prove end of custody.
