I am well aware of how predation affects animal populations. However if you were to look at the post I quoted you were complaining about a lack of deer in West Virginia. Culling works to stop overpopulation, a lack of deer is not an overpopulation of deer. This is especially true when the deficit of a species is caused by over-hunting, which is what you just said caused WV's problem.
