In other words, any customer who expresses displeasure about your gun, gets to patronize that store, and you have to leave and from that day forward go to the next-most convenient store?

When you tell a store manager that they just lost $100 + in sales, and they have to pay an employee to restock what it is your cart, and that you will not be back to spend $100 + per week again, that gets their attn.

Actually, unless the manager actually knows you as a regular customer, they'll more likely just shrug it off. Most grocery stores know that they can lose a few customers.

Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.
