Creepy Situation in the Woods

I went for a short hike today at Green Lane Park in Montgomery county. About halfway through my loop I see people up ahead just standing around, and to this point I hadn't see anyone else.

As I'm about 30 yards away I hear something like "I DON'T GIVE A SHIT!" or similar. Basically what a mouth breathing knuckle dragger would say to his woman to let her know her place and my radar went way up.

It was a couple arguing and the guy looked very shady. Biker type with handlebar mustache. As I got closer I put my hand in my pocket on my J frame and said "How's it going" once I was within earshot. Didn't get a response and I just walked right past with the guy glaring hard at me.

I started thinking whether to call the cops once back at the car but decided against it because really nothing was happening besides a couple arguing. The circumstances just creeped me out.

Since there were only two other cars in the parking lot I surmised they met there to talk. The woman won't be nominated anytime soon for "decision maker of the year".

Moral of the story: know your ABCs... Always Be Carrying!!!

Yeah, just walk right by unless there is aggression or physicality between the two. If there was then call the cops and stay out of it. If it was a "what the fuck are you looking at" moment, then same thing. Other than that you know what to do.

Yup. No way I was intervening in that crap. Especially alone in the middle of the woods.
