AR pistol build help needed

so bought a AR pistol kit build I got the lower all day but having some issues with the upper. Barrel, dust cover, hand guard, forward assist. Any one willing to help? near 18706 thanks

All you need is the right tools to install the barrel nut, everything else is easier then putting a lower together.

So you didn't say what kind of handguard, barrel nut, etc... but you WILL need a torque wrench to properly install the barrel nut.

Also, when installing the barrel, don't tap/hammer on the muzzle. Apply some aero grease (or something similar) to the outside of the barrel extension and the inside of the upper where it inserts, get the barrel aligned and in as much as you can by hand and tap the back of the receiver with a non marring mallet while holding the barrel. It may help to heat the upper receiver on the threaded portion where the barrel inserts.

issue was the handguard wouldn't line up with the screw holes in the barrel nut. here the company never sent me some washers it was missing to make up the space for the threads all is well now thanks guys. never built one before and couldn't find any videos that were similar to the kit I had.

Glad things worked out for you. I built a pistol not too long ago and the hand guard I used was definitely the hardest part.

yeah it was weird just couldn't find a video of how these one went together now I have a general idea I'm doing a 300 blackout now
