Damn it! This is the same weekend as the Famous reading outdoors poker run!

for the first time Ill more than likely pass, I went to the last one and was looking for a quality optic and reloading supplies, most tables where lather,rinse, repeat. Same chinesium optics, piles of Glocks and weird boutique AR uppers, cheap Kydex holsters. the reloading supplies prices where on par or more with the LGS. Used to be when "at the show" really bargained priced and I'd leave with hand truck full's. Dealing with the dysfunctional parking and listening to the Tasers snapping all day gets old any more

In the 80's and 90's I was heavily into mil surp bolt actions and having an authentic set of web gear for each,the shows always came through for that, those days have long gone past my discretionary fun money budget

The really only entertainment value is checking out the hot chicks strolling around and giggling at some of the BS info heard at the tables

The best entertainment was the last show.. as the Golf Expo visitors left with their designer clothing and popped collars and came face to face with cammo wearing cool folks carrying all sorts of freshly purchased firearms, ammo cans and Pro trump clothing..

The distress in their faces was almost good enough to make me walk around outside a bit longer.. but alas it was colder than a well diggers ass so I re-entered and bought more stuff

There's a small spot around the corner with with good food cheap. Its Vinnies pizza on Egypt rd.

Right in the Oaks parking in front of Lowes is "Cheeburger Cheeburger" with awesome shakes and burgers and for more upscale P.J. Whalihans Pub

Not available just yet but we hare hopeful that by show time they will be.

kobsw: I'll see you on the 23rd. I DO have REALLY nice Model 28-2, 6 inch. Alas, no box though. I'll also have a very unique S&W factory miss mark Model 25.
