Ohio new law bans almost all Semi auto firearms as of March
Should be titled... new law bans many legal "assault style" firearms
I heard Ohio got it right up the pooper !
On FB there are Ohio gun rights groups up in arms.
From what they were saying is a new law to ban assault style long guns had a "mistake" and basically bans all the semiauto weapons it was trying to protect.
New bill was adopted and submitted to correct the "mistake" but the democrats refused to buy off on it..
So as of the 1st week of March most so called assault firearms will be illegal in Ohio unless the bill gets amended, which the dems are stalling and I think it is was an intentional slip or "mistake"
Anybody else heard of this???
"The problem involved a section of the bill that references any firearm of at least 26 inches approved for sale by the Gun Control Act of 1968 but not regulated under the National Firearms Act.
Under the House-passed bill, the provision was located in a section titled “dangerous ordnance does not include any of the following.” When rewritten in the Senate, that provision was mistakenly moved to a section titled “Dangerous ordnance means any of the following.”
